The monument to the hero was unveiled on May 9, 1965 at the entrance of the metallurgical plant, in the very center of historical Maslovka. The author is listed as I. Kaufman, although in fact, the monument is an ordinary 120 mm [mortar] mounted on a trapezoidal pedestal.
On the pedestal there is a memorial plaque with the inscription: “Maslovsky Victor Nikolaevich. 1904-1943 Guard Colonel. Commander art. mortar regiment of the 4th Ukrainian Front ”, established in 1965.

Viktor Nikolaevich Maslovsky - commander of the 183rd regiment of the Guards artillery and mortar regiment, with liberation battles that took place in the south of our region as part of the 4th Guards Kuban Cossack Cavalry Corps.
Colonel Maslovsky died in Donetsk, in a hospital in the Leninsky district, as a result of a serious wound. At the time of the death, Colonel Maslovsky was in his 40th year. He was buried near the entrance of the metallurgical plant. A monument is installed on the grave - a mortar on a pedestal. A street was named in honor of V.N. Maslovsky in Donetsk, and secondary school No. 29, located near the burial place, bears his name.
