Rawal ( Urdu جھیل راول ) is a reservoir in Pakistan that supplies water to the cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad . Formed by the Corang River and a number of small streams. The area is 8.8 km². The catchment area is 275.2 km².

Raval is located in an isolated section of the Margalla Hills National Park.
Recreation Area
The area around the reservoir was landscaped with flowering trees, picnic areas and secluded alleys. The winter garden and the coast are used for picnics, fishing and boating. From the highest point in the garden there is a panoramic view of the Raval , the hills of Margalla and Marri, the cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
Private clubs organize boating, sailing and diving.
To the west of the reservoir is the Islamabad club, which includes various sports sections.
Natural World
The reservoir plays an important role in the wintering of waterfowl, especially mallards .
The territory adjacent to the reservoir is inhabited by foxes , pangolins , porcupines , reed cats , jackals , wild boars and harps . Indian cobras and dabois are distinguished from reptiles.
In addition, the Raval is a great place to observe a variety of birds.
Raval has 15 species of fish belonging to 11 genera [1] . Such as: Snakeheads ( Channa ), Rahu ( Labeorohita ), Cattle ( Catla catla ), Cirrina white ( Cirrhinus mrigala ), Carp ( Cyprinus carpio ) and Mozambique tilapia ( Tilapia mossambica ).
