Biography

In 1874, without graduating from the Ternopil gymnasium, he began performing on the stage of the Ukrainian theater of the Ruska Conversation society. In 1880-1881 he performed in the troupe of the director and entrepreneur E. Bachinsky .

In 1881–1892 - Director of the Lviv Ukrainian Theater of the Ruska Conversation Society (until 1888 together with the director I. Grinevetsky ). I. Biberovich, in addition to stage talent, was a good administrator who knew the complex mechanism of a mobile theater. He performed on the stages of Western Ukraine with his team. Later he led an amateur theater group in Kolomyia.

He enriched the repertoire with the best works of Ukrainian and foreign authors.

The times of the management of the Biberovich-Grinevetsky Theater constitute the best period in the history of the Ukrainian scene in Galicia . The Biberovich Theater enjoyed a well-deserved fame, combining a wonderful repertoire, directing and a first-class stage team.

As an actor, I. Biberovich distinguished himself in the roles of a lyrical-dramatic plan.
