Content
Story
The action takes place in the provincial city. Peter Verkhovensky, the main ideological inspirer of the revolutionary cell, is trying to involve Nikolai Stavrogin in the revolutionary movement. Verkhovensky gathers young people "sympathetic" to the revolution: the philosopher Shigalev, the suicidal Kirillov, the former military Virginsky. Verkhovensky plans to kill Ivan Shatov, who wants to "get out" of the cell.

- Initially, the role of Stavrogin was considered by Danila Kozlovsky , but in the end, the role was given to Maxim Matveyev [6] .
- The film was shot in the pavilions of the Mosfilm Cinema Concern and the Krutitsky Compound in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Kostroma .
- The character of investigator Goremykin investigating the murders is not in the original work of F. M. Dostoevsky , he was added to the script by V. Khotinenko.
- After the shooting, Anton Shagin bought one of the costumes of his hero.
