Biography

Professor Vladimir Leonidovich Andrianov was born on April 16, 1929 in Taganrog, Rostov Region. Surgeon, teacher, doctor of medical sciences (1971), professor (1976), captain of the medical service (1960). Russian.

In 1953 he graduated from the 2nd Moscow Medical Institute. NI Pirogov, in 1955 - clinical residency in courses of specialization and improvement of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Health of the USSR.

In 1955, he was appointed deputy head of courses of specialization and improvement of the Main Directorate of the USSR Ministry of Health; since 1956 - surgeon; in 1958-1964 - Head of the orthopedic department of the Moscow Children's Clinical Hospital. A. N. Filatova; in 1964-1970 - Junior, and then senior researcher at the Central Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics. N.I. Pirogov; in 1964 - 1976 - Head of the Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation of the Central Institute of Advanced Medical Studies; in 1976–78 - Deputy Director for Research of the Irkutsk Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics; Since 1979 - Director of the Leningrad Scientific and Research Children's Orthopedic Institute named after G. I. Turner. In 1986, he was the founder and head of the first and only in Russia Department of Pediatric Traumatology and Orthopedics at Leningrad.

Member of the Board of the All-Union Society of Orthopedic Traumatology, Chief Pediatric Orthopedist of the RSFSR, full member of the International Society of Clinical Orthopedics and Traumatology.

Member of the editorial board of the journal Orthopedics, Traumatology and Prosthetics. Author of 338 scientific papers, including monographs “Congenital deformities of the upper extremities” (1972), “Tumors and tumor-like dysplastic processes in the spine in children” (1977), “Diseases and injuries of the spine in children and adolescents” (1985 G.), "Dysplastic coxarthrosis (surgical prophylaxis and treatment)" (1986), "Organization of orthopedic and trauma care for children" (1988), and 62 inventions. The biography of A. is included in the book “50 outstanding scientists of the last quarter of the 20th century” (USA, 1994).
