Biography
Born in the family of a government official. In 1915 he graduated from a teacher's seminary in Vinnitsa . During the First World War, he was in the Russian army, then joined the UPR army. After the defeat, the UPR emigrated. From Polish Czestochowa in 1922 he moved to Czechoslovakia , where in 1924 he graduated from high school and entered the chemical engineering department of the Ukrainian Academy of Economics in Podebrady . In 1928 he received a diploma of a process engineer and remained an assistant at the CAA.
In 1931 he defended his doctoral dissertation on oil refining, worked in laboratories. During the awakening of Transcarpathia in the 1937/38 academic year, he taught at the State Academy in Svalyava , and after the occupation of Transcarpathia he moved to Bratislava . In 1945 he went to Austria . In Innsbruck made friends with J. Maple , together with whom in 1947 he published a collection of parody poems “Devilish Parabolas” under the common pseudonym Porfiry Gorotak.
In 1946, already seriously ill with tuberculosis, he moved to Switzerland, where he died in 1948.
