James Sullivan (Monster Corporation)

It is a large and tall furry creature of turquoise color with bright lilac spots. On the head of a horn, like a bull. The body in its structure resembles a bear. At the same time, its magnificent tail and claws are similar to those of a dinosaur. Nevertheless, he is only a seemingly creepy monster. In his free time, he can charm with his signature smile ^[1] .

Jimmy naturally possesses all the talents necessary for a scarecrow - a huge size, and a booming roar ^[2] .

Thanks to his innate talents and qualities, as well as the impressive pedigree of famous scarecrows, he easily enters the prestigious Scary Faculty of Monster University ^[2] . But he doesn’t show much zeal for studies, since parties bring him much more pleasure than cramming lessons. It soon becomes clear that even natural talent and family ties cost nothing unless you make the effort yourself. Nevertheless, he did not manage to finish the university, and he, along with his friend Mike Vazovsky, whom Sally (as everyone calls him) met while studying, gets a job at the Monster Corporation, at the beginning in the post office.

In the corporation, his career quickly went uphill, and, after some time, he even became an honorable scary, and the entire “honor board” in the corporation was hung with his portraits ^[1] .

James's job is to scare young children. When they startled and cry in fear, Sally picks up their screams. This is a very responsible job, as children's cry is a source of electricity for all residents of the city of Monstropolis, in which the cartoon characters live.

But once, during one of the work shifts, the girl Boo accidentally came to his city from the world of people. Jimmy was faced with the task of sending the child out of Monstropolis at all costs, as children in their world spread a dangerous infection. But, having learned the baby closer, and having experienced many adventures with her, he really became attached to her. The girl was eventually sent to her world, which Sally was very upset about. He fell in love with this girl, and carefully kept her drawing and sliver from the door. And it soon becomes clear that children's laughter brings much more energy than a frightened scream. And this turned the tide of history and changed the whole way of life of Monstropolis, which took years to form. Sally managed to bring the two worlds together ^[1] .
