It was introduced in the 1930s, such a form of the car was popularized by Ferrari in the 1950s. Maserati , Opel , Alfa Romeo , and other European car manufacturers also had the prefix "berlinetta" in the name of the cars.
In the US, Chevrolet also produced a version of the Chevrolet Camaro called “Berlinetta”, from 1977 to 1986. In a model with a more European style, they tried to emphasize the interior rather than power, thanks to which this version became the basis of sales in the European market.
