Biography
Born on January 5, 1941 in the village of Uvaly, Novosyolovsky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, in a peasant family. While still a schoolboy, he worked as a tailor in a combine harvester. He graduated from a seven-year school, then, in 1957, tractor driver courses and began to work as a machine operator at the Legostaevsky state farm. He served in the Soviet Army, where he was awarded the medal " For Distinction in the Protection of the State Border of the USSR ." After demobilization, he worked as a toolmaker at the Krasnoyarsk TV factory for a year and a half.
In the 1960s he returned to his village, where he began to work as a combine harvester at the Legostaevsky state farm. Gradually mastering the technology, S. S. Tsiglimov became a production leader, and in 1973 he was recognized as the best combine operator in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. S. S. Tsiglimov worked on the same link with his brother Anatoly and a cousin - Sergey Demidov. Their family link was mastered by the “Ipatovsky method” [1] propagated in the late 1970s, bringing the daily grain grinding to 700-1000 centners per hectare.
Since 1980, a new combine SKD-6 "Sibiryak" of Krasnoyarsk production has been running around the brothers' link. They made a number of rationalization proposals and useful comments on the design of some parts of the combine. With the new technology, they were able to significantly exceed the seasonal threshing plan: the brothers received 61,745 centners per hectare with an obligation of 40,000. S. Tsiglimov himself set a threshing record in 1982 - 21,240 kg / ha, exceeding the achievement of Hero of Socialist Labor I. A. Nedobitkova . A year later he threshed 24,686 kg / ha.
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of October 5, 1984, for achieving outstanding successes in increasing labor productivity, a great personal contribution to increasing grain production and the shown labor prowess, Semen Sergeyevich Tsiglimov was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Hammer and Sickle Hammer medal .
He also participated in socio-political work, was elected as a deputy of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR, as well as councils of village, district and regional levels. After the death of the Secretary General of the CPSU Central Committee, K. U. Chernenko , a native of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, S. S. Tsiglimov was appointed a member of the commission for organizing his funeral. During a mourning rally on March 13, 1985, he delivered a speech from the rostrum of the Mausoleum [2] .
In the post-Soviet period, S. S. Tsiglimov was an active creator of the Farmers Association of the Novosyolovsky District. The Tsiglimovs farm began in 1991 with 27 hectares of arable land. Two decades later, it began to occupy 420 hectares, the grain yield in it amounted to 30 centners per hectare.
He lived in the village of Uvaly. In recent years, he was on a well-deserved rest, passing the economy to his youngest son. Tragically passed away, having shot himself on November 14, 2013 [3] .
