On April 15, by order of the troops of the Ukrainian Front, the 2nd and 3rd Ukrainian Soviet armies were created [1] /

The 2nd Ukrainian Soviet Army included units of the Kharkov Group of Forces ( control and the 1st Zadniprovsky brigade of the 1st Zadniprovsk Ukrainian Soviet division , the 2nd separate brigade, 3rd Zadniprovsk brigade of the 1st Zadniprovsk Ukrainian Soviet division , Crimean brigade ), which were reduced to 2 full-time divisions. June 8, the head of the division was appointed A.S. Kruser (chief of the combat area). [6] The division occupied a front section "from the Sea of ​​Azov to Novospenovka." [7]
