Description
The main elements are the camera (the rattle itself) and the filler. The chamber can be made of a variety of materials: dried pumpkin, shells, unprocessed, so-called raw skin , wood, horns, tortoise-shell, ceramics , dried throats of geese and ducks, urinary bladders or from any prepared containers. The filler is pebbles, clay balls, shot, dried beans, peas or other seeds and seeds. Rattles usually also have a grip. In ancient Greece, a rattle for cult rites served as a ceramic vessel formiskos ( dr. Greek φορμίσκος ).
