La Concha ( Basque. Hiru Kontxa , Spanish. Playa de La Concha ) - a beach located on the shores of the bay of the same name in the city of Donostia San Sebastian ( Basque Country , Spain ). La Concha is one of the most famous city beaches in the whole country.

La Concha Beach is located west of the mouth of the Urumea River, separated from it by Urgull Hill, on the shores of La Concha Bay . It has an average of 1350 meters long, 40 meters wide and a total area of 54,000 m².
The beach has a shallow sand surface, the beach area is noticeably reduced during high tides . In 2007, the beach was selected among the 12 treasures of Spain , a national contest held by Antena 3 and COPE . [one]
