Baygekum ( Kaz. Bәygeқұm ) is a village in the Chiyli district of the Kyzylorda region of Kazakhstan . The administrative center and the only settlement of the Baigekum rural district. It is located about 27 km northwest of the district center, the village of Shieli . The KATO code is 435237100 [1] .

Population
In 1999, the population of the village was 2235 people (1152 men and 1083 women) [2] . According to the 2009 census , 2652 people lived in the village (1344 men and 1308 women) [2] .
