Son of Jean Theoden de Baux, grandson of Amiel I de Baux from the line de Baux d'Orange-Courteson.
After Queen Giovanna was murdered by order of Charles III of Durazzo (1382), Raimondello joined Louis I of Anjou in the war against Durazzo. Appointed captain-general of the Anjoutian cavalry, he devastated the environs of Naples, but on February 19, 1383 was defeated and captured by Charles. The son of Karl Ladislao , becoming king in 1386, tried to attract Raimondello to his side, for which he returned the land confiscated three years earlier, in 1400 by adding to them the baronium of Pozzomagno in the Otranto region, and introduced him to the royal council.
In 1398 he married Margaret, the only daughter and heiress of Antonio dell Amendola, the lord of Amendola, Specchia, Montesano and Montesardo, and Clementia of Tarent, a side daughter of Louis I of Anjou, a claimant to the throne who bore the title of Prince of Tarent.
A son:
Giacomo I (d. Approx. 1448)
