Content
History
It was founded in 1933 as a settlement of geologists and gold miners on the basis of the newly opened Barit Mine of the Novo-Ursky field.
In 1935, Barite received the status of an urban-type settlement. The first club was built (burned down in 1972 ). The library is based . September 1 opened Baritovskaya High School . In 1961 she moved to a new building.
In 1938 , a large geophysical expedition of the Union West Siberian Geophysical Trust was located in the village and a geological exploration party was formed.
In the 1970s , Barit was renamed Ursk.
In 1993 , the Cathedral of Christ the Savior was opened.
December 14 , 1994 on the basis of the boarding school opened a children's social shelter. [6]
Since 1999 - a rural locality.
Geography
The village is located in the northwestern part of the Guryevsky district on the Ur river , 45 kilometers from the administrative center - the city of Guryevsk .
The central part of the settlement is located at an altitude of 352 meters above sea level [1] .
Population
According to the 2010 All-Russian Population Census, 1,665 people live in the village of Ursk (793 men, 872 women) [2] .
