Odessa football club (OKF) is one of the oldest football clubs in Odessa , founded in 1908 .

On October 9 ( October 22 ), 1911 , the club was headed by a British citizen, the future first international referee in Russian football, John Gerd , and Julius Taykhman was transferred to the post of secretary, where he stayed until January 1912 , resigning in favor of the accepted into full members of the Abram Grobman club. All three actively participated in the creation of the Odessa Football College of Judges, which is the first official referee organization in the history of Russian and, subsequently, Soviet football.
In addition to football, the club actively cultivated cricket , hockey , lawn tennis , croquet , fencing and ice skating , and also arranged music and dance evenings, performances, holidays, balls, masquerades and other entertainments in compliance with all established rules and with proper permission .
In 1911, O.K.F. became one of the founders of the Odessa Football League and took part in the first city championship in the history of Odessa football, in which he took fourth place.
The unrecognized champion of Russia in the Odessa national team was a member of the club - goalkeeper David Kazhdan .
O.K.F. is the ancestor of one of the most titled amateur football clubs in Odessa - Lokomotiv: after the revolution, the club was disbanded, and the team passed under the control of the railway sports center, and until November 1935 , i.e. Before the appearance of the voluntary sports society Lokomotiv , it was called the Railwaymen.
