History
The Circular in the Kharkov School District was published in Kharkov in 1861-1870 twice a month, then monthly.
It was an official publication that placed government orders on public education, decisions of the ministry, information about the movement for the service of personnel, awards and official production, orders for the Kharkov educational district and for individual educational institutions of the district.
The “Circular” published recommendatory lists of literature and minutes of meetings of the pedagogical department of the Historical and Philological Society at Kharkov University.
Periodically, supplements to the journal were published, in which minutes of meetings of the board of trustees, exam rules, study programs, and other materials were printed.
