Narcology is a Russian scientific periodical in the field of narcology and psychiatry. It is the printed organ of the Association of Narcologists of Russia. Scientific and methodological management of the journal is carried out by representatives of the Russian Academy of Sciences . The journal “Narcology” is a member of the International Society of Addiction Journal Editors, and is on the list of leading peer-reviewed scientific journals of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation , which publish the main scientific results of dissertations for the degree of doctor and Ph.D.

The first issue of the magazine was published in January 2002. The journal “Narcology” publishes the results of fundamental and applied research carried out both in Russia and abroad, discussion materials, scientific reviews, lectures, practical recommendations, regulatory documents, and fundamental materials of international, foreign and Russian drug policy. Most of the publications archive is publicly available on the Internet.
The impact factor of the journal on the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI) for 2016 was 0.489 [1] .
