Fronton probably belonged to the fourth generation of the family that settled under Octavian Augustus in the newly created colony in Antioch of Pisidia . He was the first representative of a kind who entered the estate of horsemen , and then under the Vespasian in the Senate. Thus, Fronton was a " new man ." In 74/75 or 75/76, he was a legate in the provinces of Pontus and Bithynia . In the years 76-79, Guy commanded the IX Spanish Legion , which was stationed in Britain. In the first years of Domitian's reign (81 / 82–83 / 84), Fronton was the governor of the provinces of Lycia and Pamphylia , where he received numerous awards. In 90, he reached the post of consul-suffice .
His wife was Calpurnia Paul, daughter of Calpurnia Longon. His sons were Senators Guy Karistaniy Fronton and Guy Karistaniy Paulin, of whom nothing is known.
