Beffre, Lionel

The surname Beffre hails from the county of Ruerg and is known in the department of Aveyron from the 17th century , sometimes used as Befre. The etymology of the surname has Occitan roots and probably comes from the word “befre” (lit. with Occitan. “Big-toed”), meaning a person with a protruding lower lip ^[1] . Lionel Beffre was born on January 20, 1964 in the small mining community of Decazeville ( fr. Decazeville ) with a population of 6,107 people. ^[2] in southwestern France , department of Aveyron . His father, a retired mathematics teacher, Pierre Beffre ( fr.
