Content
Botanical DescriptionPerennial low plants 10-25 (30) cm tall. The stems are simple, rarely branching at the top with leaves covered with short glandular on thick legs and long simple hairs thickened to the base. Leaves 1-8 cm long, 3-15 mm wide, oblong whole-marginal, sometimes with single teeth, short-leaved, upper sessile. Flowers in a small-flowered brush 5-23 cm long, lilac-purple. Petals 10-20 (25) mm long, 4-10 mm wide, 2.5 times longer than sepals . Pods 30-60 mm long, 2-2.5 mm wide, straight, narrow, glabrous, tuberous, compressed parallel to the septum; column 1.5-2 mm long.
Number of chromosomes: In Buryatia (northwestern coast of Lake Baikal) 2n = 1428 [3] [4] .
Distribution and habitatOn steppe meadows, rocky and gravelly slopes, in sparse forests.

In Russia, the species is included in many Red Books of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation : Belgorod, Volgograd, Voronezh, Kurgan, Kursk, Lipetsk, Magadan, Samara, Saratov, Sverdlovsk and Ulyanovsk Regions, as well as the Perm and Stavropol Territories and the Republic of Tatarstan [2] .
It grows on the territory of several specially protected natural territories of Russia [7] .
In Ukraine
Decision of the Lugansk Regional Council No. 32/21 of December 3, 2009, is included in the " List of Regionally Rare Plants of the Lugansk Region " [8] [9] .
