History
Twisted Machine was founded in Beijing in 1998 by four musicians: Wang Xiao (vocals), Lee Pei (guitar), Yang Lei (bass) and Lee Si Ye (drums). Inspired by the music of the American band Rage Against The Machine , the participants decided to name the band Twisted Machine and position themselves as a hardcore team.
After three years of a successful career, the band first received an invitation to perform at the Midi Music Festival. In the same year, the musicians signed a contract with Scream Records, which released their debut self-titled album. This was followed by successful performances at the Rock Fest in Shenzhen and Chong Qing Beer Fest festivals.
Following the success of Twisted Machine at home, group leader Wang Xiao decided to leave the band for personal reasons. He was replaced by vocalist Liang Liang, who led the group in a new direction - the Twisted Machine style acquired the features of nu-metal and rapcore .
