Biography
Born on November 9 (22), 1908 in Taganrog (now Rostov Region ) in a Jewish family of doctors Isaak Yakovlevich Shamkovich and obstetrician-gynecologist Sofia Nikolaevna Likhterman. [1] [2] The family lived at 31 in Italian Lane.
In 1932 he graduated from the camera department of the Leningrad Photographic College.
He worked as an assistant operator and operator at the Sovkino film factory. In 1935-1939, he was an operator in the research sector of the Leningrad Institute of Film Engineers , and in 1939-1941, he was the operator of the Lentekhfilm film studio.
Member of World War II . [3] Member of the CPSU (b) .
Since 1944, he has been an operator of combined filming and a production director at Lenfilm .
Member of the USSR IC (Sverdlovsk branch).
