Sierra Otomi ( Highland Otomi, ųųhų, Otomi de la Sierra, Sierra Otomi, Yųhų ) is a dialectic continuum of the Otomi language, spoken by about 70,000 people in the mountainous states of eastern Hidalgo , western Veracruz and northern Puebla .

- The Eastern-mountain dialect ( Eastern Otomi, Eastern Highland Otomi, Otomí de Huehuetla, Otomí de la Sierra, Otomi de la Sierra Madre Oriental, Otomi de la Sierra Oriental, Otomí del Oriente, Sierra Oriental Otomi, Yuhu ) is distributed in the municipalities of Pantepec, Yupe , Tlacuilotepec, Tlasko, Puebla State; in the municipalities of San Bartolo Tutotepec, Waetuala Hidalgo ; in the municipalities of Isuatlan de Madero, Tlachichilco of the State of Veracruz . A letter based on latin.
- The Tenang dialect ( Otomí de Tenango, Tenango Otomi ) is distributed in the municipality of San Nicholas, Puebla , Hidalgo . A letter based on latin.
- The Teskatepek dialect ( Northeastern Otomí, Otomí de Texcatepec, Texcatepec Otomi ) is widespread in the villages of Amahak and Waitepek of the municipality of Sontekomatlan; in the villages of Ayotustla, Teskatepek, Tsikatlan of the municipality of Teskatepek of the state of Veracruz .
