Dialects
- The Keretar dialect ( Hñohño, añhų, Hñąñho, ǫthǫ, Northwestern Otomi, Otomí de Querétaro, Querétaro Otomi, Western Otomi ) is common in the municipality of Toliman; Akambay; in the cities of San Ildefonso Santiago-Mesquitlan of the municipality of Amealco of the state of Queretaro . There is a small amount in the state of Guanajuto . The Keretarsky dialect is 78% lexically similar to the Mesquital dialect. A letter based on latin.
- The Mesquital dialect ( Hñahñu, Mezquital Otomi, Otomí del Valle del Mezquital ) is distributed in the Mesquital Valley of Hidalgo . There are also many working foreigners in the USA, in the states of Texas (270), Oklahoma (230) and North Carolina (100). A language grammar and a dictionary were published. A letter based on latin.
