Content
Biography
Origin from an old noble family .
He served as regimental secretary in the Izmailovsky Life Guards regiment .
In 1773 he was appointed governor of the city of Zaraysk with the rank of lieutenant colonel, from 1775 - the governor of Sviyazhsk .
Member of the suppression of the uprising led by Emelyan Pugachev .
In 1781-1787, he was vice-governor of Ufa governorship .
On August 9, 1787, he was appointed ruler of the Olonets governorship with the rank of state adviser. During the reign of Chirikov, in 1791, Petrozavodsk was visited by A.V. Suvorov , who inspected the Alexander Cannon Foundry .
In September 1792, retired with the rank of full state councilor.
He was buried at home, in the cemetery of the village of Pokrov, Yaroslavl province .
Family
In a marriage with Maria Vasilyevna, he had nine children: Vasily, Nikolai, Ivan, Dmitry, Alexander, Catherine, Praskovya, Nadezhda and Vera.
