Jan van den Berg ( Dutch Jan J. van den Berg ; born August 31, 1929 , Amersfoort ) is a Dutch organist .

He studied with his father, the organist of the Lutheran church in Amersfoort, and then with Adrian Schurman , who worked during this period in the church of St. George in the same city. He made his debut as an organist in November 1945 at the Reformed Church in Amersfoort. Since 1946 he worked in the church of St. Emma in the village of Sustdeyk (now part of the city of Sust ). In 1953 - 1994 organist of the New Church in Delft . As a guest organist, he also performed in a number of other Dutch cathedrals, including the Cathedral of Pius X in The Hague , the Church of St. Louis in Leiden , and the Church of St. Boniface in Alfen . He toured in Germany, left many records in the collections of various Dutch radio stations. Together with Herben Maurik recorded an album with a complete collection of organ works of his teacher Schurman [1] . In November 2005 , on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of his performing career, he gave a gala concert at St. George's Church in Amersfoort. The author of various organ compositions.
