Biography
Coming from the nobility of the Pskov province .
He began military service in the 21th Jaeger Regiment as a non-commissioned officer. Since April 1812, he was a senior adjutant, head of the division at the headquarters of the regiment.
Since May 1812 - Senior Adjutant in the 20th Jaeger Regiment .
Member of the Patriotic War of 1812 and the campaigns of the Russian army against the Napoleonic troops in 1813-1815 .
He took part in the battle of Borodino . For the assault on Leipzig he was promoted to lieutenant colonel; for the capture of Paris , he was promoted to colonel.
In 1816-1821 - commander of the 50th Jaeger Regiment . In January 1821, by personal request, he was dismissed from military service with the rank of major general.
In March 1829, he was appointed governor of the Olonets province with the assignment of the civil rank of current state councilor.
He left the post of governor on April 27, 1836 .
He was buried in the cemetery of the village of Dubno, Toropetsky district, Pskov province .
