International Bureau of Revolutionary Youth Organizations

The International Bureau of Revolutionary Youth Organizations ( MBMRO , the International Bureau of Revolutionary Youth ) is an international left-wing social association under the International Bureau of Revolutionary Socialist Unity (the London Bureau), which existed in 1934-1940.

The MBMRO included youth organizations of the Swedish Socialist Party (SP), the Socialist Workers Party of Germany (SPG), the British Independent Labor Party , the Dutch Independent Socialist Party (NSP, then the Revolutionary Socialist Workers Party), the Spanish POUM (Iberian Young Communists), and Young socialists (maximalists) of Italy, Young Leninists (Netherlands) and until 1935, a small American organization called the Communist League of Struggle . Also included were representatives of other organizations.

Representatives of the International Left Opposition participated in the MBRMO. However, in 1935, the Trotskyists were expelled from the MBRMO because of their line of entrism into mass parties of the working class, which contradicted the desire of the London Bureau and its youth organization to build their own international.

The founding congress of MBRMO was held in the Netherlands, and was foiled by the Dutch police. Foreign congress delegates were deported, including German delegates deported to Germany. The congress was held again in Lille (France). The Bureau and the Secretariat were elected at the congress. Willy Brandt of the SRPG, Heinz Epe of the International Left Opposition and a representative of the Swedish Socialist Party were elected to the Secretariat. The Bureau consisted of one representative from each organization represented.

MBRMO leadership was in Scandinavia. Secretariat meetings were held in Malmö and Stockholm . Heinz Epe was headquartered in Oslo, Norway. In 1936, it was decided to form the Secretariat in Barcelona with an executive committee consisting of Secretary General Vilebaldo Solano (Iberian Young Communists), Bob Smiley, Fritz Zaeder and G. Martini (G. Bogomi), however, its activities were immediately complicated by the conditions of the civil war in Spain and repression against the POUM.

MBRMO issued the Internationales Jugend-Bulletin ( International Youth Bulletin ).
