Biography
Fergus Urkhart gained fame by working for Interplay Entertainment , in particular as the leader of Black Isle Studios [6] [7] , a role-playing computer game division of Interplay. The unit was created by Urkhart in 1997. In his composition, Urkhart released the first two games of the series Fallout [4] . In 1999, the RPG Vault ( IGN ) website awarded Urkhart the Unsung Hero of the Year Award , noting that most game fans are unaware of Urkhart's contribution to Black Isle Studios' projects, as he immediately dismisses everything attempts to recognize his achievements [8] .
When Interplay faced financial difficulties and the future of Black Isle Studios became uncertain, Urkhart and several other industry veterans left the studio to create Obsidian Entertainment in 2003 [5 ] . Urghart took over as head of the company.
Fergus Urkhart currently lives in Irvine, California . Married, has two children [5] .
