History
At the end of 1941, the Moscow Union State X-ray Plant was evacuated to Aktyubinsk, Kazakh SSR. In a short time, which was determined by the special requirements of wartime, an effective production base was prepared and, in May 1942, the enterprise began to produce defense products. After the war, the company switched to the production of civilian products. Production quickly grew and developed. It is important to note that in Soviet times, the company actively developed the process of industrial diversification in order to optimize the load of production capacities, which, in principle, is not typical for the economy of the Soviet period. So, along with X-ray medical devices, X-ray devices for industrial flaw detection, as well as a variety of consumer goods, gas purification filter units, etc., which together had great demand not only in the USSR, but also abroad, were mastered for production.
The rapid growth of indicators of economic activity of the enterprise was especially noted in connection with the introduction of a new production complex in 1980. The plant rightfully became one of the largest specialized enterprises of national importance. In 1990, the company had 80 thousand square meters of production area, as well as 4.5 thousand employees. Production volumes amounted to 6 thousand x-ray machines per year. In 1998, the company went through a reorganization procedure and at present Aktyubrentgen JSC is a private enterprise.
