Chronology of diplomatic relations
- April 13, 1944 - diplomatic relations were established at the mission level.
- June 13, 1950 - New Zealand’s mission to the USSR is closed. Protection of the interests of New Zealand was transferred to the British Embassy in the USSR.
- April 19, 1973 - The activity of the New Zealand mission in the USSR was resumed. Missions are transformed into embassies.
