Chimera ( lat. Chimaeridae ) - a family of cartilaginous fish chimeric order. Outwardly resemble other representatives of the detachment, however, they have a short, rounded snout. Some species have a long tail-shaped tail, therefore, in English, representatives of this family are called "sea rats" ( English ratfish ). Representatives of the family carry poisonous thorns on their back that can inflict a wound on a person [1] .
