Botanical Description

Perennial herb from 20 to 40 cm tall. It blooms from June to September, the fruits ripen in July - October. Propagated by seeds.

The stems are straight, simple, fluffy, leaves and inflorescences are fluffy.

Leaves are sessile, whole, oblong-lanceolate, acute.

Scutellum thick, covered with grassy bracts . Pedicels are longer than flowers. The lobe segments are lanceolate, sharp, ciliary. Petals with marigolds, 6-8 (10) mm long, oblong-ovate, sharp, yellow, dry with a dark (often brownish) strip on the back. Ten stamens , free, with pubescent threads. The ovary is five-membered, with 4-12 ovules in each nest. The ovaries of the ovary are pubescent, at the apex with conical appendages. The appendages are conical, half the length of the nest. Column with capitate stigma.

A five-celled box is revealed on the inside of the tops of the nests [2] .

Distribution and habitat

Distributed in the southeast of Central Europe , in Moldova [3] , in Ukraine (in Odessa and Donetsk regions and Crimea ), in the Mediterranean , Asia Minor [4] .

It is found in Russia in the Belgorod and Rostov regions .

Synonymy

The taxonomy of this species has not been fully established (World Checklist of Selected Plant Families marks the name as being in the process of consideration and approval ( Eng. "In review" [5] ).

According to the Plantarium site, the name of the species is Haplophyllum suaveolens ( DC. ) G. Don , and the name Haplophyllum ciliatum Griseb is included in the synonymy of the species . [1] .

According to The Plant List for 2010, the name of the species is Ruta suaveolens DC. , and the synonymy of the species includes [5] :
