Shiva Keshavan Kannan Palan ( born Shiva Keshavan Kannan Palan ; born August 25, 1981 in Manali ) is an Indian toboggan , participant in six consecutive Winter Olympic Games (1998-2018). The first Indian to take part in the 6 Winter Games and the second Indian to take part in the Games after tennis player Leander Paes (7).

Biography
Born in Himachal Pradesh in a family of Indian and Italian. At the age of fourteen, he began to practice sledding under the leadership of the world champion, German Gunter Lemmer , who was engaged in the development of sledding in Asian countries. Keshavan proved to be a fairly talented pilot, qualifying for the Nagano Olympics . He became the youngest sleigh rider in history, who managed to qualify for the Olympics (at that time he was only 16 years old). At the Games in Nagano, the Indian showed 28th time, beating four athletes. Also participated in the next three Olympics. The best result - 25th place showed at the Games in Turin .
In 2014, Kashevan attended the Olympic Games in Sochi , where he finished thirty-seventh in the men's singles program.
In parallel with luge, he studied at the University of Florence , where he received a master 's degree in international relations .
