Biography
As a child, Oda Hidekatsu was adopted by Toyotomi Hideyoshi , one of the best commanders of his father Oda Nobunaga , and received a new surname - Hasiba Hidekatsu (羽 柴 秀 勝?).
In 1582, at the time of the death of his father, Oda Nobunaga, Hidekatsu was located in Kojima (Bizen province ). Toyotomi Hideyoshi granted Ode Hidekatsu possession of Kameyama castle in Tamba province (modern Kameoka , Kyoto Prefecture ).
Shortly after the death of Oda Nobunaga, Hidekatsu fought on the side of his adoptive father, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, against the rebellious general Aketi Mitsuhide during the battle of Yamazaki. In 1584, on the side of Toyotomi, he participated in the battle with Tokugawa Ieyasu at Komaki and Nagakute.
On January 29, 1586, Oda (Hasiba) Hidekatsu suddenly died in Kameyama Castle. It is believed that he was killed by order of his foster father Toyotomi Hideyoshi .
