Biography
Andreyan was born in the city of Yaroslavl in 1701 [1] [2] [3] , came from the middle class [4] .
He lived and traveled in the vicinity of Yaroslavl. Here Andreyan, the “rude literalist” [4] , propagated his doctrine, which, unlike the previously existing, but vague and fragmentary directions, was elevated by him to the degree of dogma. This monk's activity dates back to the middle of the 18th century [3] . Separated from the Filipov sense [2] , he founded one of the wanderers sects, which was called the “Andreevschiny”. Her main tenet is wandering for the sake of Christ and evading orders from the authorities, the latter being considered as the personification of the Antichrist [1] [2] .
In the 1780s, the philosophies of Andreyan were finally approved by his writings by Euthymius , who formed a significant sect of runners of the Sopelka consent [1] .
Andreyan died in 1768 [4] .
Starover of Pomeranian consent P. Curious , author of the “Historical Dictionary ... Old Believers Church”, in an article about Andreyan described the latter as follows:
| The man was self-willed, rebellious spirit and deep superstition, the inventor and founder in the mob of sheer absurdity, evilness and ugliness ..., famous for quite a crowd of holiness and ignoramuses [4] . |
