Ideology

The main used gang symbol was the swastika [4] . The leader and ideologist of the gang Borovikov (“Sour”) was a staunch racist who dreamed through direct actions to “cleanse” St. Petersburg ( Nevograd ) of “non-Russians” - representatives of other races. The purpose of his struggle, he saw the transformation of the " Jewish RF" (where ZOG rules) into a mono-ethnic "White Russia " [5] . Christianity caused sharp criticism, the alternative of which was the pagan " Nordic Russia" [6] . In addition, the organization promoted the values of a healthy lifestyle and the rejection of alcohol and drugs [7] .

Armament

The gang's main weapon was knives and pistols , and they also used a crossbow , hunting carbines , pump action weapons and a Mosin rifle trim .

When Alexei Voevodin's mother and grandmother died, he inherited 2 apartments. Having sold one, he bought a car, 4 Saiga carbines and walkie-talkies for listening to police frequencies.

In mid-June 2004, the parents of the murdered Rostislav Hoffmann, who spoke with members of the group, found a list compiled by their son before his death - 12 names and nicknames, and the name of the group, in his opinion - Mad Crowd. After his death, Hoffmann's parents carried this list to the investigating authorities, but the list was lost. [9] The investigation found out about the existence of the Borovikov-Voevodin group from the Agency for Journalistic Investigations - AZhUR, which went on the trail of the gang due to the testimony of repentant skinheads who told reporters that the police are falsifying cases and condemning innocent minors for crimes of the Borovikov-Voevodin group. AZhUR appealed directly to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.
