Biography
Member of World War II. He was awarded the medals "For Victory over Germany" , "For Combat Merit" , "For Valiant Labor".
5-time champion and 7-time medalist of the USSR championships in four boat classes, three-time European champion (1953, 1954, 1956), winner of the Henley Regatta (1954). At the Summer Olympic Games in Helsinki (1952) he won a silver medal as a member of the G8.
He was the founder of the rowing department of the State Center for Pedagogical Medicine : teacher, head of the department, professor . He was one of the founders of modern theory and methodology of rowing.
Honored trainer of the RSFSR , judge of the All-Union category.
