Endemic to South Africa : South Africa ( Cape Province ). Length 4.4-5.8 mm. Antennae and abdomen gray. Chest fawn-buffy. Fore wings are yellowish. The hind wings are grayish brown. Caterpillars presumably, like other species of their kind, feed on plants and mine the upper surface of leaves. They resemble the species Stigmella nigrata [1] [2] . In the apical part of the fore wings two veins are developed: R 4 + 5 and M [3] .
