Biography
Born in the village of mine number 5 of the Yekaterinoslav province . Jew. From the age of 12 he began to work. In 1917 he joined the Red Guard , a member of the RCP (b) since 1918. From May 1918 - at work in the Kursk provincial Cheka - the opcomissary and instructor. Since 1919 - in the Special Division of the 9th Army of the Southern Front - assistant chief of the active unit, head of the Own Department of the 32nd Rifle and 18th Cavalry Divisions of the 11th Army . Then he served in special departments in the border troops . He joined the Economic Department of the Transcaucasian Cheka as an assistant to the chief, since 1927 - head of the Economic Department of the GPU of the Azerbaijan SSR . Since 1929 - Head of the Economic Department of the Plenipotentiary Representation of the OGPU of the Siberian (since 1930 - West Siberian ) Territory. In 1934-1935, the deputy plenipotentiary representative of the OGPU / head of the NKVD Directorate of the Territory. In 1935 he was transferred to Leningrad as the head of the Economic Department of the NKVD, and since December 1936 he was assistant to the head of the regional department of the NKVD. From April 1937 to January 1938 he was the head of the 6th (transport) department of the GUGB NKVD of the USSR . From January to May 1938, he was the head of the GUSHosDor of the NKVD of the USSR, and simultaneously from April to November of the same year, he was the deputy commissar of the USSR Railways. Arrested on November 21, 1938. Shot by the verdict of the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR on February 25, 1939.
