Flavia Rigamonti ( Italian. Flavia Rigamonti ; b. July 1, 1981 , Lugano district , Ticino , Switzerland ) - Swiss swimmer, multiple winner of world championships in both 50-meter and 25-meter pools, five-time European champion, two-time 2007 Universiade champion. One of the strongest swimmers in the world at a distance of 800 and 1500 meters freestyle from the late 1990s to the late 2000s [1] .

She won the first gold medal in international competitions at the 2000 European Championship in swimming at 800 meters. In the 2000 Olympics, she was fourth in the 800-meter freestyle swimming (1.62 seconds from the third result). She also participated in swimming at 400 meters , but did not reach the final.
In the 2004 Olympics, she participated in two competitions, swimming for 800 meters and 4 × 200 relay , but did not reach the final in any one. For the third time, she participated in the Beijing Olympics , in freestyle at 400 and 800 meters.
She trained at the Southern Methodist University [2] .
