The presidential election in Chile was held on June 25 and 26, 1841 according to the electoral system. There was practically no organized opposition to the conservative General Manuel Bulnes . The liberals tried to group around Francisco Antonio Pinto , proclaimed a candidate without his consent. Manuel Bulnes was elected President, Pinto became his adviser.
