Perry Reid , née Perri McKissack , is known by her former stage name Pebbles , and also Sister Perri (born November 6, 1964 , Auckland , CA ) is an American singer, songwriter and producer. .

Biography

Perry Reid began her career as backing vocalist with and the funk group Con Funk Shun. She was also co-author of one of the band's latest singles, "Body Lovers."

In the late 1980s and early 1990s, Reid recorded several of her own singles, including Girlfriend and Mercedes Boy, and also took part as backing vocalist on Paula Abdul's Forever Your Girl (1988) album.

In 1991, in Atlanta, Perry Reid created the female hip-hop and rhythm and blues trio TLC , and in 1993 founded her own label Savvy Records .

In 1995, Reid returned to her solo career with the release of her third album, Straight from My Heart . In 2000, she released a collection of 14 Greatest Hits tracks.

After the financial scandal, Perry Reid left the TLC group and became a Christian minister under the name Sister Perri [1] . In 2008, after a 13-year hiatus, Reid released her fourth and debut gospel album, Prophetic Flows Vol I & II , which reached # 12 on the Billboard Gospel Album Chart .

Personal life

In 1989-1996, Perry Reid was married to music producer Al Aid Reid . They have a son, Aaron Reid.
