The Malaysian dolphin [1] [2] , or the Sarawak dolphin [1] , or the short-billed dolphin [1] , or the Fraser dolphin [1] ( lat. Lagenodelphis hosei ) is a species of mammalian dolphin family. The only representative of the genus of Malaysian dolphins ( Lagenodelphis ). A specific Latin name is given in honor of the English zoologist and ethnologist Charles Howes (1863-1929) [3] .

Content
Appearance and structure
Body length 2.1-2.7 m. From the eyes to the genitals of the Malaysian dolphin passes a wide grayish-yellow stripe. The skull resembles both the skull of ordinary and short-headed dolphins .
Lifestyle & Nutrition
Keep in packs of up to 400-500 goals. They feed on fish and cephalopods at great depths.
Distribution
The Malaysian dolphin lives in the tropics and subtropics of the Atlantic , Pacific , Indian oceans. In the summer, with the course of Kuroshio, he gets to Japan ( Kamogawa ); found it in Taiwan , in Polynesia ( Ravaki Island ), near Sydney ( Australia ), as well as in southern Africa ( Durban ).
