Baker, Vladimir Izrailevich

Vladimir Izrailevich Baker ( February 7, 1927 - May 27, 1990 ) - Soviet director and artist of animated films. Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1987), member of ASIF , Author of the training program for animators. Collaborated with Vladimir Popov and Tatyana Kolyusheva .

Biography

Since 1942, he was a student of the animator at the Soyuzmultfilm film studio .

He worked at the Yerevan studio ( 1943 - 1947 ).

In 1947 he became a animator of the Soyuzmultfilm studio .

He was part of a group of combined filming under the leadership of Nikolai Fedorov .

In 1960, he created the animated newsreel Animated Crocodile and made the first issue, which became his debut as a director. At first he worked with Vladimir Popov . Their tandem lasted for almost 15 years. Over the years, in addition to numerous stories for collections, "Wicks" and custom-made movie posters about corn and "Gosstrakh", they put on several paintings that still do not leave television screens. Among them, "For the First Time in the Arena" (1961), a dilogy about the Umka bear cub (1969-1970), "Bring Rex" (1975). Further, each of the directors went his own way [1] .

In 1976, he independently shot the cartoon " Postal Fish ".

Often taught at the courses of animators at the studios Soyuzmultfilm , Multtefilm , and also lectured at the Higher Courses of scriptwriters and directors .
