Biography

Born in 1787 , came from the old Russian noble family Beklemishevs .

Entered the service as a lieutenant of the Life Guards Izmailovsky Regiment on January 1, 1799 .

In 1801 he was transferred to the Life Guards Cavalry Regiment Junker . The cornets was produced on November 7, 1807 , as lieutenants - in 1810 .

During the Patriotic War of 1812 - Lieutenant of the Life Guards Horse Regiment. [one]

Already during foreign campaigns, in February 1813, he was promoted to headquarters captain .

Andrei Nikolaevich Beklemishev became a member of many battles:

    • August 26 - under Borodino;
    • October 6 - under Tarutin;
    • October 12 and 13 - under Maloyaroslavets;
    • November 4, 5 and 6 - under the Red;

    • April 20 - under Lutzen;
    • May 8 and 9 - under Bautzen;
    • August 15 - near Dresden;
    • August 17 and 18 - under Kulm;
    • October 4, 5 and 6 - under Leipzig;
  • 1814
    • January 20 - under Brienne;
    • March 13 - at Fehr-Champenoise;
    • March 18 - at the capture of Paris.

After the war, Beklemishev continued to serve in the Life Guards Mounted Regiment, where he served as a colonel (1819). In the period from November 15, 1822 to March 25, 1828, Beklemishev was the commander of the Horse Ranger of His Majesty King of the Württemberg Regiment. [2]

Then promoted to major generals . He commanded brigades in the 1st and 2nd Equestrian divisions. At the head of the brigade participated in the Polish campaign of 1831 .

December 30, 1835 was retired from service. His further fate and date of death are unknown.

Family

The son of Andrei Nikolaevich - Fedor - served in the Transbaikalia as a local police officer. His name is a village in the Chita district. [3]

Awards

  • He was awarded the Order of St. George the 4th degree (No. 4425; December 18, 1830 ) - " for impeccable service in the officer ranks of 25 years " and the Golden Sword "For Bravery" (1812).
  • He was also awarded the Order of St. Vladimir of the 4th degree and St. Anne of the 2nd degree.
  • In March 1814 he was awarded silver medals "In memory of the war of 1812" and "For the capture of Paris."
