Biography
Born in the city of Engels, Saratov Region on December 1, 1943 in the family of Alexander Maximovich and Valentina Ivanovna Skripay: lovers and connoisseurs of musical art. The family enjoyed a favorable atmosphere for comprehensive development and aesthetic education - from an early age, children were instilled with a love of reading (there was a large library in the house) and music classes were encouraged.
The decisive role in choosing a creative path was played by the meeting with the outstanding teacher and musician Semyon Solomonovich Benditsky , [comm. 1] who immediately recognized and heard the deep talent of the young pianist and without further ado took him to his class. [2] Under the careful supervision of S. S. Benditsky, Anatoly Skripay went through important stages in the formation of musical thinking, internal culture and performing pianistic skills, starting with the first lessons in the class of a music school, then at the Saratov School of Music and the Saratov Conservatory, which he graduated with honors in 1968 . The young musician completed his education in 1972 with graduate school at the Musical Pedagogical Institute. Gnesins in the class of Theodor Davidovich Gutman . [comm. 2]
Creative work
Teaching activities
Pedagogy, along with concert activities, occupied an important and significant place in the creative life of A. A. Skripaya. Moreover, both teaching and concert performances equally formed the basis of his educational and enlightening work. With his special personal example, he clearly demonstrated the theory of his pedagogical methodology . [2]
Almost the entire creative life of Anatoly Skripay is connected with the native Saratov Conservatory. Possessing the rare gift of reading from a sheet , he began working as a concertmaster , while still a student at a music school. He was also a accompanist in the classes of famous Saratov musicians - cellist N. E. Zedeler , violinist N. A. Goldenberg . [3] And already in 1967, Anatoly Skripay, a graduate student at the conservatory, began teaching at the department of special piano (Sobinov State Concert Hall).
In graduate years, when he was in Moscow, the young musician had the opportunity to work as accompanist in the class of the famous trumpeter, Professor Timofey Dokshitser . Upon completion of an internship in the class of T. D. Gutman, Anatoly Skripay returned to Saratov.

Concert activity
Not only a teacher, but also an active concert pianist - these are two inseparable creative looks of Anatoly Skripaya. The image of the creaking performer is primarily the image of a thinker, artist and philosopher , which is not so common among pianists. The musician’s creative credo is very precisely expressed in the words of Frederic Chopin : “There is nothing more hateful than music without a hidden meaning ” . [6] The meaning of this expression is very simple and deep at the same time - music for musicians. [comm. four]
As a soloist and member of the chamber ensemble A. Skripay performed in the best concert halls of the country, repeatedly participated in the international festival “Palaces of St. Petersburg”; Conscious concerts and master classes creaking in Germany and the USA caused a warm recognition of the audience and rave reviews from the press. [7]
The solo and ensemble repertoire of the musician is truly extensive and multifaceted. All creative styles and genres are subject to his creative inspiration. The scale of the chamber music programs played is impressive. In his concert repertoire with violinist Tatyana Sandler [8] (student of Naum Goldenberg and Boris Belenky [9] ) and cellist , professor and honored artist of Russia Lev Ivanov [10] (student of Svyatoslav Knushevitsky and Mstislav Rostropovich ) monumental programs of cyclic
- all piano trios of Beethoven , Brahms and Schubert , trio of Mozart , Mendelssohn , Haydn , Tchaikovsky , Rachmaninov , Shostakovich ;
- all violin sonatas of Beethoven, Brahms, Frank , Ravel , Shostakovich, Schnittke ;
- all cello sonatas by Beethoven and Brahms, as well as sonatas by Grieg , Chopin, Richard Strauss , Rachmaninov, Shostakovich and Schnittke. [2]
Many famous musicians and conductors performed in the ensemble with Anatoly Skripay, who enthusiastically spoke of him as a magnificent, sensitive ensemble [2] - trumpeters Timothy Dokshitser and Eduard Tarr (USA), organist Peter Dicke [11] (Germany), conductors Fuat Mansurov , Veronika Dudarova , Eduard Serov , Yuri Kochnev , Roman Matsov [12] ( Estonia ), Alexey Gulyanitsky ( Ukraine ), Konstantin Orbelian , Vakhtang Jordan (USA). [four]
A separate word deserves the interpretation talent of Anatoly Skripaya. An illustrative example is the performance in the ensemble with the honored artist of the Russian Federation Natalya Tarasova [13] in 1991 . An inspirational, deep and subtle reading of the essay played a decisive role in awarding the State Prize of the Russian Federation to Elena Gokhman’s vocal cycle [6] Insomnia, to the verses of Marina Tsvetaeva .

Sobinova, which was organized in 2008 on the initiative of A. A. Skripaya and bears his name. The department is based on the author’s concept of musical education of pianists, the essence of which is clearly expressed in the words of Frederic Chopin : “There is nothing more hateful than music without hidden meaning”
- ↑ In other words, a mathematician , writer , and engineer can be a musician, while a pianist or violinist, in turn, can remain a “pianist” or “violinist” without being a musician .
