History
In 2006, Tommy decided that movie soundtracks mixed with melodic power metal could be ideal for composing and recording. Having his own studio, he began recording these songs in the best quality and posted them on MySpace. When he did, drummer Daniel Eskilsson and the leader of the Swedish band Majestic Vanguard heard Tommy’s songs and introduced him to Christian Liegren from Rivel Records / CM Sweden. Yani Stefanovich from Divinefire and Essence of Sorrow became a co-producer and compiler of the album, having processed all the drum parts on the record.
In 2008, ReinXeed began recording their first studio album, entitled The Light and released by the Rivel Records on March 12 in Japan and June 20 in Europe. On The Light, Johansson worked on all aspects of the recording process on his own. Later, two guitarists (Kerry Yundberg and Matthias Johansson), a keyboard player (Henrik Fellermark), a drummer (Eric Forsgren) and a bass player (Ace Thunder) appeared in the group. The album was influenced by Gary Moore from 1983-1989, Angra , Destiny , Episode , Visions , Infinite from Stratovarius and Robia Valentine, Odyssey from Symphony X and albums from Helloween , in particular The Keeper of the Seven Keys .
Higher album was released by Rivel Records in May 2009, in Japan work was released under the auspices of King Records in March 2009, including the bonus track “Dreams”. Angelicwarlord.com found the sound of the Higher album cleaner than comparing The Light with an “almost perfect” mix of lead guitar, drums and keyboards. The only remark was the lack of aggression and the rhythm of the guitars, sometimes lost in the mix.
In 2010, the group released the album Majestic . In 2011, the world saw 1912 - the fourth album of the group. This album is dedicated to the death of the Titanic ship. The Japanese edition includes three bonus tracks: “RainXeed Alliance”, “Aces High” ( Iron Maiden cover) and “Pray for Japan” - a song recorded in support of Japan, which suffered from the March 11, 2011 tsunami and earthquake. The next ReinXeed Welcome to the Theater album was released in May 2012. The musician was inspired by various famous films to write it. The Japanese edition of ReinXeed's latest album, A New World , was released in 2013.
