Barik ( Arabic. بارق ) is a city in southwestern Saudi Arabia , in the administrative district of Asir . The population according to 2010 is 50,113 people.

History
Until 1916 was part of the Ottoman Empire. From 1916 to 1924 - in the independent state of Asher. In 1924, together with Asher, became part of the Saudi kingdom.
Geography and climate
Located 120 km north of the city of Abha , at an altitude of 389 m above sea level.
